Overview of XitNotes Licensing
Each XitNotes mailbox license allows you to export a
single mail database (nsf file). You may however export from that
database multiple times.
If you have an archive database you also
want to export you will also need to purchase a license for
it.
Each mailbox must be registered automatically.
License Key overview
When you purchase you are immediately issued
a license key. This license key allocates you one or more
mailbox licenses depending on how many mailbox licenses you
purchased. If you need to purchase 4 mailbox licenses you
would need 2 x 2 user licenses so will have 2 license keys
each with 2 licenses allocated to each.
License keys are entered into XitNotes via
the Licensing - License
Key Administration menu option.
Mailbox license
When you purchase XitNotes you purchase one
or more mailbox licenses. Our website keeps track of how many
mailboxes you have registered for each license key.
Mailbox Registration
Each mailbox must be registered before
performing a full export on it. You may export in demonstration
mode at any time (5 messages per view folder only).
Registration works on an key system. When you attempt to
export a mail database XitNotes checks to see if that database
is registered for export (a mailbox license is required for
each).
You are prompted to register each mailbox if
not already registered. You may also choose to register
mailboxes without choosing export by selecting the Register
Mailbox button.
If you have an old stamped ticket key
supplied to you from version 1.0 you can choose the option
manually Register mailbox manually
by entering stamped ticket key.
You can view allocated mailbox licenses
(databases that have been registered) with the menu option Licensing
- View Registered exportable
mailboxes (nsf files).
If you need to move XitNotes and install on
another PC make sure to copy the XitNotes.k
file to the installation directory. This contains keys.
